Experience the excitement of Spider-Man: Homecoming
Peter Parker balances his life as an ordinary high school student in Queens with his secret identity as Spider-Man. After fighting alongside the Avengers, Peter is impatient to prove he is more than just a "friendly neighborhood Spider-Man." He tracks down a group of criminals led by Adrian Toomes, who sells weapons made from recovered alien technology. When Peter's ambition leads to a disaster, Tony Stark confiscates his high-tech suit. Peter must discover if he has what it takes to be a hero using only his skills and his old homemade costume.
Brave, ambitious, slighty clumsy, and highly responsible.
Wise, protective, wealthy, and acts as a strict mentor
Resourceful, protective of his family, but ruthless and vengeful
Loyal, enthusiastic, and a technical genius (the "guy in the chair")
Caring, energetic, and unaware of Peter's secret life
Explore the narrative elements of Spider-Man: Homecoming
Peter Parker is a normal student at Midtown High School, but he hides a big secret. When the school day ends, he puts on his mask and swings through the streets of Queens. He works hard to impress his mentor, Tony Stark, because he wants to become a full member of the Avengers. Peter spends his afternoons helping local citizens and waiting for a call for a real mission.
The situation becomes dangerous after Peter encounters Adrian Toomes, a villain known as the Vulture. Toomes steals alien scrap and creates powerful weapons to sell on the black market. Peter tries to stop a deal on a ferry, but the mission fails and nearly kills hundreds of passengers. Then, Tony Stark appears to save the day and takes Peter's advanced suit away. Tony says, "If you're nothing without this suit, then you shouldn't have it."
Later, Peter discovers that Toomes is the father of his crush, Liz. At the homecoming dance, Toomes warns Peter and says, "Don't you ever interfere with my business again."
Peter ignores the threat and rushes to stop Toomes from stealing a cargo plane full of Avengers' technology. He fights the Vulture in his simple, homemade sweatshirt costume. The plane crashes on a beach. After the suit of the Vulture malfunctions and catches fire, Peter saves Toomes' life instead of letting him die. He leaves Toomes for the police and proves that he is a hero because of his heart, not his gadgets.
Spider-Man: Homecoming teaches that with great power comes great responsibility. Peter Parker learns that being a hero doesn't always mean seeking praise or recognition, but rather daring to do the right thing even when others don't see it. Furthermore, the film emphasizes the importance of humility, honesty, and a balance between personal obligation and social responsibility. With these attitudes, one can become a useful person for others, in both small and large ways.
